In a date night slump?

Here are 5 tips to refresh your date night game!

#1 Take turns planning

"What do you want to do?"

"I don't know, what about you?"

"I don't know."

Does this sound familiar? Get the creative juices flowing and take turns planning! One week it's the husband's turns, the next week it's the wife's. Treat it as an act of loving service to plan a fun evening your spouse will enjoy!

Go from PM to AM!

Always having your date nights in the evening? Try a morning date! Fancy coffees or a local brunch, or even sitting in the morning sun on your porch can literally and figuratively shed new light on your marriage and get you connecting in new ways.

Try a Double Date!

There are so many reasons to double date: refreshing conversations, inspiration from other marriages, trying new things, and you often learn something new about your spouse and see a unique side of them come out! Whether its old friends or someone you want to get to know, everyone loves a double date!

Do something active!

Get moving! Get outside! Try a dance tutorial on YouTube! Whether or not being active is your general lifestyle, it’ll definitely get you laughing and in a new frame of mind from sitting on the couch in the evenings.

Most importantly…

Keep it on the calendar.

We get it. Sometimes you “feel like” doing something for date night, and sometimes you don’t. But regardless of how you’re feeling, keep that date night on the calendar and have dedicated time each week to connect and unwind together.

You will never regret making that extra effort to invest in your marriage. After all, what else could be more important?
